Sony se convierte en el nuevo enemigo de James Bond
Se creía que tras el fenómeno de Skyfall, el futuro cinematográfico de James Bond estaba asegurado pero parece que a partir de hoy cuelga de un hilo.
Con Casino Royale (2006), Sony se hizo cargo de la distribución de las películas de 007 y también de suministrar la ultratecnología que utiliza Bond en sus aventuras que, también, se ha convertido en una importante fuente de ingresos; tras el estreno de 007 Quantum Of Solace (Quantum Of Solace, 2008), la mala situación financiera de la MGM puso en serio peligro la continuidad de la franquicia.
Parece que hoy la compañía Sony vuelve a ser de nuevo el problema de James Bond.
Una reunión entre Sony y MGM no ha llegado a ningún acuerdo ni sobre el próximo director de Bond 24 ni tampoco sobre el estreno de la nueva entrega.
La intención de MGM es estrenar la nueva película de Bond antes del 2016 y Sony se decanta por esperar. En efecto, los estudios tienen grandes proyectos que podrían bloquear Bond 24. Dos posiciones radicalmente opuestas que se encuentran en punto muerto. Sony pretende tomarse con calma la situación para tomar la mejor solución y han informado a los productores de EON por lo que la nueva película se encuentra a la espera de las decisiones del despacho.
También podría tratarse de unos celos justificados por los malos resultados en taquilla de Spiderman y de Los Pitufos que si tienen prevista continuidad para el 2014, por lo que una buena parte de la decisión final sobre Bond 24 dependerá de la recaudación de estas secuelas. Deseamos que esta situación sea temporal.
