La censura llega a James Bond 007

Roald Dahl, Agatha Christie y ahora la obra de Ian Fleming se ve atacada por la censura. Con motivo del 70 aniversario literario del personaje de James Bond 007 Ian Flemings Publications reeditará las novelas sobre el agente secreto en una nueva versión dónde se eliminarán las referencias racistas, se mantendrán algunas raciales y otras se verán reescritas de forma que no hieran sensibilidades. Una advertencia aclaratoria acompañará a la nueva edición: Este libro fue escrito en un momento en que términos y actitudes que podrían ser consideradas ofensivas por los lectores modernos eran habituales. Se han hecho un número de actualizaciones en esta edición, al tiempo que se mantiene lo más cercana posible al texto original y al período en el que se sitúa. Se basan en que el propio Fleming dio permiso al editor para adaptar las novelas a cada país. Ignoró como terminará esta estupidez, sólo decir que la editorial Penguin Random House UK que publicó las novelas de Roald Dahl en versión dulcificada, ante la indignación  suscitada, también publicará, al mismo tiempo, las novelas originales no desvirtuadas. Gallimard en Francia y Alfaguara en España emitieron comunicados: las edicionesde Dahl serán las originales.
