Actor de dilatada carrera, en cine y televisión, fue, entre otros, el inolvidable Mr. Steed de la serie de TV Los Vengadores (The Avengers - Chapeau melon et bottes de cuir) y Sir Godfrey/Tibbett en Panorama para matar (A View To A Kill - Dangereusement vôtre, 1985) con Roger Moore como James Bond 007 y dirigido por John Glen, y entre otras películas, cito Aullidos (The Howling, 1981).
